Havelock Family Centre

Havelock Family Centre (HFC) is a charitable organisation and has been meeting community needs in Ealing since 1984.

At HFC our philosophy is that the most effective way to ensure children's healthy growth and development is through supporting and empowering individuals, families and the communities in which they live. The Centre provides a wide range of services for local people with focus being the family, such as advice, providing information, counselling, and more.

Our Values

At HFC, we work in partnership with a diverse range of agencies to empower local service users to enhance their rights and quality of life through the provision of a range of services accessible to all, including advice, information, counselling, preventative work and practical support delivered holistically.

We aim to promote positive family support as well as community cohesion and representation in order to improve the quality of life for individuals, children and families.

We believe that:

  • Every child can reach their potential, if supported to do so.
  • The early years of a child’s life are critical in ensuring their long-term physical, cognitive, emotional and social well-being.
  • Every family has strengths that significantly contribute to their resilience in bouncing back from the challenges of life.
  • Strong families provide opportunities to achieve self-reliance and promote community cohesion and harmony.
  • Individuals do not suffer through an inability to express their needs effectively or as a result of a lack of knowledge regarding their rights and responsibilities and the services available to them.

Quality Standards

Accredited Child Contact Centre

Havelock Family Centre is an accredited child contact centre.

We provide a neutral place where children of separate dfamilies can enjoy contact with their non-resident parents in a comfortable, safe environment.

Advice Quality

Organisations that hold the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) have been through an audit process that checks how they manage their advice service.

Havelock Family Centre are proud to hold a AQS.

Help and Support for Separated Families

The Help and Support for Separated Families (HSSF) Mark is awarded to support our work with parents to resolve disputes (where it’s appropriate and safe to do so) and help them focus on the interest of their children.

Diversity

HFC is highly regarded for its diversity and is well known for serving the community as a first point of contact. We specialise in providing culturally sensitive services to families, with staff and volunteers speaking the mother tongues of BME clientele; Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Czech and Polish.

We provide an inclusive confidential, culturally sensitive and non-judgmental ethos. We pride ourselves on the welcoming environment we offer to our service users which helps to break down barriers and empower our clients as they seek to overcome life’s obstacles.
